Electric Resistance Welded (ERW) tubing is formed by passing flat carbon steel strip through a progressive series of tooling rolls, then fusing the seam edges using high-frequency electric current — no filler metal added. The result is a tube with weld composition identical to the base metal, consistent wall thickness, and tight dimensional tolerances across the entire length.
